A production tracking test is only meaningful when the user, device, and offer meet the applicable requirements. These requirements also apply to your end users.
Use this guide to:
Prepare a test user and device for a production tracking test.
Understand conditions that can prevent attribution.
Troubleshoot missing installs or game progress.
For an overview of the end-to-end tracking process, see How Tracking Works.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
A physical iOS or Android device
A test user with a valid
partner_user_idAn offer the test user is eligible to complete
An integration that has passed the Integration Smoke Test
Do not use an emulator or virtual device for production tracking tests.
User and offer requirements
Before starting an offer, confirm that the user:
1. Is eligible for the offer
For offers that require a new user, the user must not have previously installed, signed up for, or participated in the game or offer, including through another rewards service.
Also confirm any offer-specific requirements, such as country, platform, age, or other eligibility requirements.
2. Starts from the Besitos offer
The user must start the offer through the Besitos offer link or CTA.
Installing the game directly from the app store can prevent the install from being attributed to the offer.
3. Uses the same device
The user should install and complete the offer on the same device used to start the offer.
4. Maintains an internet connection
The device should remain connected to the internet during installation and gameplay.
5. Meets device requirements
The test device should:
Be a physical device rather than an emulator or virtual device
Meet the applicable operating system requirements
Not be rooted or jailbroken
Not use a VPN or proxy
Not use ad-blocking or other software that could interfere with tracking
Use the same device throughout the test
Some tracking requirements are platform-specific.
6. Meets OS requirements
iOS-specific requirements
Before testing on iOS:
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Make sure Allow Apps to Request to Track is enabled.
If the partner app or game has requested tracking permission, make sure its individual permission is enabled.
Allow Apps to Request to Track lets apps request permission; it doesn't automatically grant permission to every app.
If an app does not appear in the list, that alone does not indicate a tracking problem. Only apps that have requested permission appear there.
Also confirm:
iCloud Private Relay is disabled for a controlled test when the offer starts in Safari.
No VPN or proxy is active.
Content blockers are disabled for the offer flow when applicable.
If a tracking control is unavailable, record the restriction and continue with the applicable reporting checks. Age or account restrictions, device management, or other Apple account restrictions may prevent changes.
Android-specific requirements
Before testing on Android:
Open Settings > Privacy > Ads, or search Settings for Advertising ID.
Confirm that the advertising ID is available.
On older devices, check Opt out of Ads Personalization, if shown.
For a test where advertising-ID use is permitted, leave the opt-out disabled.
Also confirm:
No VPN or proxy is active.
No ad blocker is interfering with the offer flow.
If a custom DNS provider is configured, record it and use Automatic for a controlled test when appropriate.
If the offer starts in Chrome, use a normal, signed-in tab.
Send a "Do Not Track" request is disabled in Chrome for the test.
Chrome's Do Not Track setting does not control native game tracking or guarantee credit.
Do not reset or delete the advertising ID when investigating an existing offer. Record its current state instead.
Production test checklist
Before starting a Production Tracking Test, confirm:
Test user is eligible for the offer.
partner_user_idis valid.User has not previously participated in the offer when new-user eligibility applies.
Physical device is being used.
Device meets the applicable platform requirements.
User will start from the Besitos offer.
User will use the same device throughout the test.
Required tracking settings and permissions are enabled.
No VPN or proxy is active.
No software or browser settings are expected to interfere with tracking.
Device has a stable internet connection.
Everything checked? Continue to Production Tracking Test.
If tracking doesn't work
If an install or goal doesn't appear as expected, don't reinstall the game, clear app or browser data, or reset the advertising ID immediately.
Preserve the original installation and account, then continue to Troubleshooting Missing Installs or Game Progress.
