How are offers arranged in the API?

Updated this week

Offers returned by the Games and Deals APIs are sorted by performance, with the highest-performing offers appearing first in the response.

This ordering is designed to surface offers that historically drive strong engagement and completion rates.

Can partners change the order of offers?

Yes. By default, offers are returned in performance-based order, but partners can reorder, filter, or curate offers within their own interface to match their platform’s experience and user needs.

Common approaches include:

  • Category-based sorting

  • Search-driven discovery

  • Custom rankings or featured sections

Why do some offers appear lower in the list?

Lower-ranked offers are not lower quality. They may be newer, more niche, or perform better with specific user segments.

Without search or filtering, users may see only the top portion of the list (e.g., the top 10 offers) and miss relevant opportunities further down.

Do all users see the same offer order?

The default API response order is consistent, but the offers a user can interact with may vary based on eligibility, operating system requirements, availability, and other offer-level conditions.

Best practice

We recommend providing users with discovery tools—such as search, filtering, or curated sections—so they can explore offers beyond the default ordering and find opportunities that best match their interests.
